Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Reunite to Serve Homeless on Thanksgiving

Actors Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner reunited with their three children this holiday season to give back to those in need.
Over 2,500 volunteers gather every year in Downtown Los Angeles to serve homeless and near-homeless individuals and families with a warm traditional Thanksgiving meal.
In a street fair set-up, the event features “live music, celebrity appearances, and the distribution of hygiene items to our homeless guests.”
“Their kindness, warmth, and dedication brought so much joy to our Skid Row community. Thank you, Ben and Jennifer, for serving meals and sharing smiles on this special day. Your compassion reminds us all of the true meaning of Thanksgiving — coming together to support one another,” read the post’s caption.
Meanwhile, Affleck is no stranger to giving back, and has continuously shown his support for Midnight Mission over the years.
“I found that I get a lot out of giving a little bit of my time to other people. I don’t know that it helps them or not, but I know it’s helpful to me,” he said.
“It’s easy to sort of throw up your hands and say there’s nothing you can do.
“But the truth is there are people who want to make their lives better, who are struggling, who need help and who you can benefit by even doing a little bit, giving a little bit of money or a little bit of time. It’s just a really powerful thing to do to be able to connect with people.”
Garner has also taken on charitable roles, serving as an activist and ambassador for “Save the Children” foundation for 15 years.
“I have seen firsthand everything Save the Children does to keep children healthy, happy and safe. Any amount will help make change for children in the U.S. and around the world,” said Garner, who also serves on the board of the foundation.
While Affleck and Garner are no longer married to each other, they continue to co-parent their children—Violet Anne, 18, Seraphina Rose, 15, and Samuel, 12—and enjoy Thanksgiving dinner together. People reported the children also attended The Midnight Mission charity event with their parents.
