Description
Here is a nice RARE VINTAGE POSTWAR LIONEL #394 ROTARY BEACON with a NEW REPRO BEACON AND BULB. Comes with the original box and insert and the original instruction sheet. It is rare as it is a silver painted steel tower not indicated is any research books that I have found. This was made in 1950 and that same year Lionel was producing the 395 Floodlight Tower in painted silver towers. It is my theory that the wrong tower was picked out at the factory when assembling this 394 unit. Both towers used the same towers. The tower is in VG C-6 condition as it shows wear and has some chips in the paint here and there which caused some minor rust spots . But over all , it is a nice tower. The beacon is new and a repro . New bulb has been installed.
The original box is P-5 rated. It is solid but has a remade end flap and has tape repairs and age marks. It can however still store the contents safely.
Instructions are original with form NO. 394-30-9-50-TT. Nice condition.
