This Is A Stunning Vintage .925 Sterling Silver (96 Grams) Modernist Artisan Collar Necklace By Greece Designer Ilias Lalaounis. Designer Stamp and insignia on reverse marked:  A-21-925 Greece and designer insignia.  This fantastic piece makes a real statement with the high polished and textured Finishes and the graduated design from Wide to narrow in the back.  A sort of Hammered Open Abstract Ultra Modern Contemporary design...Really Amazing.  Very comfortable feel on the neck.  Inside diameter measures approximately 15 1/2".  Excellent Condition.

Ilias Lalaounis was a 4th generation jeweler, born in Greece, that began his career in the 1930s as an apprentice at his uncle's firm,

.  He took over the firm in 1940 and designed there until 1968.  In 1969, he opened his own firm,

Worked primarily in gold and silver.
