This fiber vise was invented and designed by my dad who was a tool maker.  I needed a vise to prep fiber cable and to have the fiber secure without slippage when pulling on fiber cable and prepping.
This tool is a must have when prepping fiber optic cable.  It makes the job safer and saves time on the job.
    Tool is 11"L X 3.75" H X 2" W Made with Aluminum and Hard Mahogany wood.

Directions how to use the Fiber Jam
Important: Secure Fiber Jam to a Workbench or Table that you’re using before putting Fiber Cables in the Vise.
    1)
Put Fiber cables on the threaded openings of the Fiber Jam.
    2)
    Close Fiber Jam and
DO NOT TURN Large Vise Screw
until you adjust the 4 thumb screws so they are snug on Top Of Fiber cables.
To do this you keep pressure on the top of the Vise with one hand until you get Thumb screws evenly snug on Fiber Cables.
    3)
Once you adjust the thumb screws down on fiber cables then closing Vise by turning Top Vise screw.
You should not need a lot of pressure to hold the Fiber cables in place with the Fiber Jam.
    4)
Once you have the Fibers secure try to pulling them.
If Fiber Cables Slide and are not secure just follow the directions again to secure Fiber Cables.
    Don’t Do’s
    1)
Don’t use the thumb screws to tighten on Fiber cables.
These screws are for adjusting so the fiber cables fit snug and before Large vise screw is turned to secure Fiber cables.
    2)
Don’t over push down on Fiber Jam to Close Vise on Fiber Cables.
If The fiber Jam is not closing
    easily
    .
It may because the adjustment Thumb crews may need to be backed off or readjusted.
The Tool is easy to use once you have the Vise set up and start using you’ll see how much easier and safer it is to prep fiber cable.
    Just an FYI
The Large Vise screw is able to be adjusted if you need to.
These are just some Ideas to help you use this great tool.
You may find an easier way to secure the Fiber Jam on your Cables.
This is just how we used the tool.
