A balanced bat is defined when the weight is evenly distributed across the handle, connection point, and barrel. Louisville Slugger purposely fabricated this bat to have most of the weight evenly distributed across the entire barrel. This is important because a balanced fastpitch bat will generate faster bat speeds through the zone as well as it is easier to control when adjusting to change-ups or riseballs. It is simple physics; Force equals mass multiplied by acceleration. Louisville Slugger’s relentless commitment to making the 2021 LXT as balanced as possible will help increase swing speed to forcibly redirect the softball into the field. The 2021 Louisville Slugger LXT is perfect for contact hitters, and players who want to hit for average. The 2021 LXT comes with an all new Speed Composite design that includes Louisville Sluggers patented single disk barrel construction. The single disk design is a critical aspect of the manufacturing process because it increases the sweet spot on the LXT without sacrificing swing weight. The larger sweet spot makes the 2021 LXT more forgiving after off-centered contact, and gives you the batter a better chance of hitting a line drive. The 2021 Louisville Slugger LXT is also outfitted with a new end cap. The new end cap helps take more weight out of the barrel which makes the 2021 LXT even more balanced than the 2020 version.
There was no change to the LXT three-piece design for 2021. The Louisville Slugger LXT 2021 model is still equipped with the popular Vibration Control Connection System which allows for better feedback without hand vibration and bat sting. The three-piece design limits the negative vibrations that occur when you do not make contact directly on the sweet spot. The three-piece design also increases the flex on the LXT which leads to greater swing speeds and bat control.
