1964 Rod Carew Handwritten Post Card w/ Vintage Signature to Scout Herb Stein

100% original & authentic.....one-of-a-kind!.......Postcard measures 3.5 x 5.5".....handwritten and signed by Rodney Carew (at the top right) to the Minnesota Twins Baseball Scout that had discovered him: Herb Stein.....Carew was 19 years old at the time he wrote this postcard to Herb Stein and gives a remarkable insight into Carew's personal life as a young rookie living on his own in Florida. He had been assigned to the Cocoa Rookie League in Florida in July 1964, a month after he signed his amateur free agent contract with Stein and the Twins.  Postcard reads:
'Dear Mr. Stein-
Just a card to let you know that I've reached by destination safely.  I followed your instructions and didn't have any trouble in finding the place.  I've been treated well by everyone and have made a lot of friends. Relay my regards to the family, and thanks again for everything.
