Saint Michael the Archangel Pendant & Rope Chain
Magnificent pendant made with an authentic & rare coin from the Vatican which was minted in the holy year of 1933! In commemoration of the 1900th anniversary of the traditional year of Jesus's death and resurrection,
1933-1934 was
proclaimed a holy year by Pope Pius XI to turn world from evils.
These scarce coins have a very low mintage and are hard to find. They feature St. Michael in full glory with an exposed torso, spread wings, and sword in hand.
The coin is nickel and the bezel is marked sterling silver. The diamond cut .925 sterling silver rope chain is 24 inches and is 1.5 mm thick. Marked and made in Italy. Pendant is 25 mm (1 inch) in diameter. This pendant makes a stunning gift for anyone and comes boxed! Please feel free and ask any questions you may have. Thanks for looking!
An archangel in Jewish, Christian, and Islamic teachings, Michael leads God's armies against Satan's forces in the Book of Revelation, where during the war in heaven he defeats Satan. Christian sanctuaries to Michael appeared in the 4th century, when he was first seen as a healing angel, and then over time as a protector and the leader of the army of God against the forces of evil. By the 6th century devotions to Archangel Michael were widespread both in the Eastern and Western Churches. In Hebrew, Michael means "who is like God."
